If you’re new to gaming or simply overwhelmed by the range of gaming mouses and keyboards in the market, having an expert cut through the noise can be super helpful. Tech guru and reviewer Elly Awesome has done all the hard work for you and tested the Logitech Gaming Mouse and Keyboard Bundle, which includes the G213 gaming keyboard and G203 gaming mouse. Read on to find out her review…
Fully Customisable Gaming Mouse
As soon as you plug in the Logitech G203 mouse, the full-spectrum RGB lighting comes up. But apart from that, there’s not a lot to see. It's a simple mouse with a smooth matte black finish. Straight out of the box, you’ll notice that the DPI on this mouse is really low, which basically means that the cursor of the mouse will move very slowly across your computer screen when you move it. But because this is a gaming mouse, you can adjust the DPI settings – also known as the sensitivity settings – on the cursor and it goes from 200 all the way up to 8000 DPI. You’ll definitely be able to find the right speed for you that will suit whichever game you're playing. The free software that allows you to customise this gaming mouse, called Logitech G Hub, is compatible with both Mac and PC, though it seems more user-friendly to PC users. In the software, you can choose from preset lighting combinations or animations or customise the colours and effects to suit you. You can also change the mouse DPI settings in the app.
Six Programmable Mouse Buttons
What’s great about this gaming mouse is that it has six programmable buttons, which is exactly what you need if you’re gaming. You’ve got four on the top – left, right, scroll wheel, and a button in the middle – and there are also two programmable buttons on the left side of the mouse. You can easily customise the programmable buttons using the Logitech G Hub software.

Reliable and Comfortable Gaming Keyboard
Just like the mouse, the Logitech G213 gaming keyboard is plug and play with a Mac or PC. It lights up immediately when plugged in and starts working. This is a full-sized gaming keyboard, and it even has an attached wrist rest that can’t be removed. The keyboard has a bit of flex in it but for the most part, it’s very robust and reliable. Underneath, it has rubber pads on the bottom and the corners which allow the keyboard to stay steady and secure on your desk. It also has two flip-out feet if you want to adjust the angle or height of the keyboard.
Handy Gaming Keyboard Toggles
The keyboard’s RGB isn’t too bright, but I like that it’s not too in your face or distracting, and it is customisable, too. The RGB can be toggled on or off with the RGB button on the keyboard. There are also media controls included on the keyboard in the top right-hand corner, which are really handy, and it features a ‘game mode’ button which, when toggled on, will disable keys such as the Windows key because if you hit that while you’re gaming, it can minimise your game or interrupt gameplay. So that’s really helpful! For further customisation, you can use the Logitech G Hub software.

Passes the Keyboard Sound Test
I personally like the sound of this gaming keyboard. It’s a membrane keyboard so you get a bit of that tactile feel and sound and it means that it’s a little bit quieter than your typical mechanical keyboard, which is more ‘clicky’. Because of its membrane design, you’ll also get some spill resistance. I don’t know about you, but at least in real life, I can hear a tiny bit of ‘thock’.
Customisable Controls and Effects
Using the Logitech G Hub software, you can customise the gaming keyboard’s key commands, or customise the keyboard’s lighting effects. There are preset colours and animations, but you can also choose your own colour combinations within the five lighting zones, which look awesome.Â
The Verdict
If you look up any other reviews of the gaming mouse, you’ll find that it’s been out for a while, but it is a beloved budget mouse of the gaming community. It’s affordable and yet it’s a great all-rounder that’s been said to last many, many years with no issues, and I think that’s why people love it.
For the gaming keyboard, overall it’s a comfortable keyboard, it’s not slippery, which makes it great for gaming, and it’s also really pleasant to type on. Just note that you do pick up a couple of fingerprints on this keyboard.Â
In my opinion, this bundle is an awesome budget gaming keyboard and mouse set because it has quality products that are great for gamers of all ability levels and it won’t break the budget. I think a beginner would be super happy with the Logitech Gaming Mouse and Keyboard Bundle, but it also sounds like seasoned gamers really love these products for their quality and longevity, too.Â
